Brian's area of expertise include Marine Consulting, Project Management and Surveying.

He spent 21 years as a British naval engineer officer involved in design and construction of submarines and frigates, shipyard manager, Associate Professor at University of Durban Westville, 18 years as a maritime consultant and surveyor.

Recent tasks include design of modifications to warships and special commercial vessels including research and protection vessels.

He has extensive surveying experience in a wide range of ships and rigs and is involved in pollution prevention in harbors in Africa. He works internationally for various clients. Brian has research interests in special craft, materials and corrosion.
