Venue: Italian Center of Stamford, Connecticut
The conference covers developments in maritime satellite communications, software, electronic navigation and piracy preparation - how to use it to improve safety, shipboard welfare and operational efficiency, and avoid the pitfalls.
Most of our speakers are people whose job it is to make sure new maritime digital technology works - a difficult job at the best of times. They will provide lessons from their experiences - as users of technology, developers, lawyers and trainers.
Recent additions to our program include Marc Cullen of Husky Energy, who will talk about his experience with Inmarsat FleetBroadband on his vessels, and Commander Christian Hempstead of the United States Marine Academy, who will give advice on the best way to ensure seafarer competence in the operation of electronic navigation equipment, based on his own experience training seafarers.
We believe Digital Ship USA offers shipping company IT, technical, operations and safety managers a once in a year opportunity to get up to speed with new technology, get the best possible advice on how to get the most from it, and meet other people using it and developing it at our exhibition and free evening dinner for all attendees at Royal Green at Sterling Farm.
