AUTOLOAD for Sealift Ships
Autoship Systems of Vancouver, Canada announced that Military Sealift Command (MSC) has chosen Autoship Systems' onboard stability program AUTOLOAD for their ships. This DNV type approved onboard stability analyzer program enables vessel operators to perform trim, stability and strength calculations for any load condition before leaving port and at anytime while at sea. |
 | The main window shows the user the profile, plan, and body plan views of the ship in the loaded condition, as well as calculated hydrostatic values and any alarms that may arise. Autoload which is based on Autoship's Autohydro hydrostatic engine, calculates stability and strength as fuel and consumables are used, helps optimize ballast, and evaluates strength and stability in a damaged or grounded condition. Autoload calculations are derived from first principles, and therefore results are true at any displacement, and at any angle of trim and heel. |
The mission of MSC is to provide ocean transportation of equipment, fuel, supplies and ammunition to sustain U.S. forces worldwide during peacetime and in war. Autoload has now been installed onboard the Observation Island, Persistent and Vindicator ships. Autoload was chosen to replace an older DOS GML program. |
