Aalborg Industries A/S, Denmark, acquired Wiesloch Marine & Industries B.V./Wiesloch Beheer B.V., the Netherlands. Wiesloch is one of the global market leaders in thermal fluid heaters for marine purposes. Combined with the existing Aalborg Industries' market share in the same business area, a global market leading position in the area is ensured.
Market leadership within its business areas are a basic strategic ambition of Aalborg Industries allowing innovative product development and a global presence ensuring customer service wherever it is required. Aalborg Industries already has a market leading position within maritime
steam boilers and a very strong position within shell & tube heat exchangers for marine purposes as well as in inert gas systems for tankers. Shipyards and shipowners world-wide will thus benefit from this acquisition through the future stronger Aalborg Industries network and competencies in steam and heat generating equipment.

Wiesloch has 40 employees and is situated in the Rotterdam suburb of Spijkenisse, the Netherlands. The acquisition includes 42% of the shares in Wiesloch's associated company, Apparate- und Kesselbau in Sinsheim, Germany. A substantial part of Wiesloch's products are manufactured and will continue to be manufactured by Apparate- und Kesselbau.

Following the acquisition, Wiesloch will assume the name of Aalborg Industries while Wiesloch will continue as a brand name of the thermal fluid heaters. With the acquisition of Wiesloch, total annual revenues of the Aalborg Industries Group will be approximately DKK 1.8 billion, and the total number of employees will be approximately 1,600.
