Acquisition of Friede Goldman Halter Shipyards

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Lockport (Louisiana, USA), is now the largest vessel repair and conversion company in the Gulf of Mexico region with the completion of the acquisition of the five shipyards of the Friede Goldman Halter ship repair and conversion division. Bollinger now operates 12 dedicated ship repair and conversion shipyards with a total of 42 dry-docks located between New Orleans and Houston, and two new construction shipyards in Lockport, and Amelia, both in Louisiana.

The newly acquired Bollinger shipyards are: Bollinger Gulf Repair, New Orleans, La., formerly Halter Gulf Repair; Bollinger Gretna, Harvey, La., formerly Gretna Machine & Iron Works; Bollinger Calcasieu, Carlyss, La., formerly Halter Calcasieu; Bollinger Houston, Houston, Tex., formerly Bludworth-Bond Houston, and Bollinger Texas City, formerly Bludworth-Bond, Texas City, Tex.

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., is the foremost provider of marine repair and conversion services and a leading provider of new construction services to the energy, commercial and government marine markets in the Gulf of Mexico region. Family owned and operated since 1946, the company specializes in a wide variety of small to medium-sized offshore and inland vessels as well as offshore rigs and platforms.
