Xenex Innovations (Vancouver, Canada) announced a new version of its IntegRadar radar package for OEMs. Based on Xenex’s PC Integrated Radar (PIR) Technology, the IntegRadar XIR1000 and radar Software Development Kit is a comprehensive radar development resource that is independent of any PC Bus standard, being Ethernet compatible and network ready. With the IntegRadar package, electronic charting software (ECS) providers can quickly add complete radar control and radar image overlay functionality to their ECS or ECDIS solutions.

Once integrated, the IntegRadar provides a radar link that allows the ECS software to operate as either a master or a slave radar system. Vessel operators will soon be able to use their favorite navigation software together with their existing radar system and have electronic charting, radar functionality, and radar image overlay on one screen. The new IntegRadar XIR1000 weighs only 9 lbs., is easy to install and is built to survive the most rugged marine environment. The SDK consists of DLL, Header, and LIB files; MS VC++ sample source and workspace files. A sample radar viewer and developer’s playback program allows for easy integration coding without actually hooking up a live radar transceiver.
