Asia Pacific Maritime conference and exhibition (APM) is scheduled for 24-26 March 2004 at the Singapore Expo. One of the key highlights of APM 2004 is Singapore's development as an International Maritime Centre (IMC). Major international players of various maritime services based in Singapore will be displaying their range of products and services at the show. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore) and the Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) are also supporting the IMC component of the APM 2004. Strong international participation is expected.
The programme covers three key components: exhibition, conference and networking opportunities. APM2004 aims to provide an essential business launchpad for international maritime players, suppliers and service providers to tap into the Asia Pacific marketplace to interact and explore collaborative opportunities.
It has been said that Asia Pacific's ship building market share has reached 70% of the estimated global size of US$42 billion. More than that, the estimated market size of maritime trade in Asia Pacific is now worth a staggering US$103 billion, encompassing shipbuilding, ship repair, conversion, ports and bunkering.
In this burgeoning maritime marketplace, APM2004 provides a vital business platform for international maritime players to penetrate the Asian marketplace and increase their business.
