Bulk Carrier Conversion

Chengxi Shipyard converted ordinary bulk carrier to cement self unloading vessel. This kind of conversion, successfully in October 1998, opens and complements conversion market for Chengxi Shipyard or even China. Another conversion of the same type is being done.
The ship was built at Imabari shipyard in Japan in 1976 and was originally fitted with four cargo holds, the second deck, hydraulically operated hatch cover and four 17.5t derricks . The conversion project included shiprepair, hull structure conversion, and installation of new cement handing equipment .
