Mr. Li Kejun has been appointed to be the President of China Classification Society (CCS) since January 1999. Mr Li worked at the China Classification Society as the vice-president from 1988 to 1994, and held the position of the Executive Director & Vice President of China Merchants Holdings Co., LTD in HONG KONG from 1994 to 1998.
He previously was a lecturer at the Dalian Maritime University in 1975 and from 1978 began
working at the Register of Shipping of P.R.C. as a principal surveyor, division chief, and Deputy Director successively. From 1988 to 1994,worked at the China Classification Society as the vice-president. In 1994, appointed to be the Executive Director & Vice President of China Merchants
Holdings Co.,LTD in HONG KONG, mainly responsible for overall enterprise management, corporate re-engineering and restructuring. In January 1999 be appointed to be the Chairman & President of the China Classification Society.

Mr Kejun graduated from Dalian Maritime University in 1975 and Mcgill University, Canada in 1978. Received the postgraduate education at the Institute of World Economy, Beijing in 1995 and participated the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in 1998.
