The 3rd International ‘Computational Fluid Dynamics in Ship Hydrodynamics’ Conference (CFD2003) is being organised by The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA). The conference will be held at the institution’s headquarters in London, England, on 6 - 7 February 2003.
CFD 2003 will follow a similar format to CFD 97 and CFD 99, the first two conferences in the series, which were successfully held in Ulsteinvik, Norway. Within the broad theme, presentations will be divided into three main areas: CFD in relation to hull form, in relation to propellers and other propulsors, and to hull/propulsor interaction. Development of CFD software and the underlying mathematical models and techniques will be covered, as will comparisons between computational predictions, test tank results and full-scale data.
In addition to the conference papers, there will be opportunities for delegates to discuss topics of mutual interest, four demonstration workshops for CFD software and a social programme. One free delegate place per paper is offered to accepted speakers.
