Chafe-Pro units

Fjord has just introduced their new 99-Series Chafe-Pro units. Chafe-Pro is designed to protect marine mooring and towing lines from abrasion. The significant difference between the 98-Series and the new series is in the outer jacketing material. The new 99-Series has two thick outside layers of black braided nylon (similar to fire hose jacketing).

As with all Chafe-Pro units, the 99-Series comes with the Fjord patented locking mechanism. This means that no lacing or lashing lines are required to attach Chafe-Pro to a mooring or towing line.Chafe-Pro is now in use on 10% of the US Coast Guard cutter fleet and it is being used to protect the' lines of the US MARAD Ready Reserve fleet, US Military Sealift Command, US Army , Canadian Coast Guard, and the world-wide towing industry.
