Chromium Free Paint for Aluminum
The Gulf Coast Region Maritime Technology Center (USA) has developed a heavy-duty chromium free paint, which exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance on aluminum. This new paint will replace primers used for decades, which contain environmentally unfriendly components such as lead, zinc, chromium, and even arsenic. It is estimated that the new paint could save the government and industry as much as $25 billion on corrosion costs. |
