Contract for Container Vessels


COSCO signed a contract with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (Japan) for ship-building of seven 5250TEU container vessels with three options.

These vessels will be delivered from the year 2001 to 2002. Two of the seven vessels will be subcontracted to Nantong Shipyard, and that will be the largest container vessels Chinese shipyard has ever built.
