Cruise Ship Collision

A Norwegian Cruise Line ship carrying 2,400 passengers limped into Britain's Dover port on Tuesday morning (24th August) following a frightening overnight collision with a container ship off the English coast. The crash left the Norwegian Dream's bow crumpled near the waterline and its bridge badly damaged. Containers from the cargo vessel landed on the smashed bow of the Norwegian Dream after the collision. Aboard the container ship, crew members battled a fire that began after the collision, while other ships and helicopters stood by to offer assistance. The container ship had been righted after listing for a time at a 40-degree angle. Full article by CNN
