Designing for Profit

      2/7/2000

Marine Industry Workshop on Designing for Profit with Lean Design will take place on 23rd February (in University of New Orleans - Avondale Marine Technology Center). This exclusive eight-hour workshop will provide attendees with a strategic overview and "hands-on" experience with proven Design for Assembly/Manufacturability (DFA/DFM) methodologies. These methodologies help product development teams zero in, at the earliest stages, on designs which offer the greatest function, quality and profit.

The teams will learn how to analyze/evaluate product designs and develop an accurate business case for redesign of an existing product or new product. The use of these tools will help product development teams create breakthrough products and bring them to market faster, better and cheaper than the competition with higher quality which are all strong competitive advantages in today's fast paced economy.
