Call for Papers
The Dynamic Positioning Committee of the Marine Technology Society has advised that the Conference will be held October 17-18, 2000, two weeks later than previously announced. In addition, the Call for Papers for the upcoming Dynamic Positioning Conference has been extended until the middle of May. Industry professionals involved in different aspects of Dynamic Positioning, who would like to present a paper at the upcoming Conference, are invited to submit abstracts.
A wide range of topics is currently being considered for the Conference, including DP vessels; DP applications and new vessel performance; DP incidents; advanced technology; power plants; system design; position and attitude sensors; and reliability. Particularly consideration will be given to papers, which discuss new developments and new or emerging technology, even if the topic does not necessarily fall into any of the above categories. Abstracts of one page or less, submitted in Microsoft Word format, should include the title of the title of the presentation, the author’s name and company, and contact information.
Abstracts should be forwarded to Peter Fougere, fax: 713/232-7022.
Alternatively, abstracts may be submitted through the DP Committee web site.
