The software tool POSEIDON - developed by Germanischer Lloyd for the interactive dimensioning of ship structures - is being used by shipyards, designers and shipping companies all over the world. This successful program is now available as a new, enhanced version: POSEIDON ND, which stands for "New Design", offers an impressive set of additional features coupled with a particularly user-friendly interface and clear operational guidance. With POSEIDON ND, the development and calculation of ship structures has become much faster and more effective.

POSEIDON ND was developed by shipbuilders for shipbuilders. Its logical structure and intuitive handling make it possible for all who are familiar with PCs and ship design to optimize their work. The user is able to concentrate fully on the design activities without having to study a complicated user manual at the same time. The results of finite element computations are already available at an early stage of the design process, yielding more time for the actual design tasks and reducing the overall effort needed for the structural work.
