Expanding Marine Contracting

      11/1/2005

Venue: Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers in Abu Dhabi, UAE

This year’s IMCA Annual Seminar is being organised by all four IMCA divisions - Marine, Diving, Offshore Survey and Remote Systems & ROV, with a programme reflecting the diverse range of operations carried out within the marine contracting industry but with common interest reflected in every included theme.

The seminar brings together engineers, managers and offshore personnel from contractors, clients, consultants, equipment manufacturers and others from around the global industry. A variety of sessions, including presentations, plenary debate and workshops, plus the associated exhibition and the more relaxed atmosphere of the drinks receptions and seminar dinner, provide ample opportunity for sharing experience, shared learning and networking.

Topical issues will be very much the order of the day in the parallel marine and diving sessions running through to the mid-afternoon of Day 1, when parallel workshops are held on marine and diving topics. The former include ‘DP incidents’; ‘FMEAs’; and ‘Online diagnostics – How are they being used?’, and, the latter will look at ‘Surface supplied mixed gas diving’; ‘Contaminated water diving’; and ‘Isolations and barriers – one year on’.

Member companies exhibiting this year include C-MAR, Divex, Fugro, Kongsberg, Nautronix, Sonardyne, Unique System and Veripos, providing delegates with the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments and the range of products and services on offer.
