All the leading Australian shipbuilders are booked to exhibit at Ausmarine 2000. They will be joined by a very large number of local suppliers of modern shipbuilding materials, parts and equipment, along with most of the major international companies such as engine, electronics and propulsion system manufacturers that have become part of the modern Australian shipbuilding success story.
“Australia has come from nowhere to lead the world in high technology, high-speed shipbuilding in a period of less than 20 years,” says show organiser, Sanda Aye. “Ausmarine provides a unique concentrated display of that Australian marine technology. There is no other way of learning about it so conveniently and economically.”
Ausmarine, Australia’s commercial military and maritime showcase, is held every two years in Fremantle, which is the practical centre of the Australian maritime industry. It attracts owners and operators of all kinds of commercial vessels through fishing boats, tugs, offshore support vessels, ferries and every conceivable type of military and other government vessels.
Ausmarine 2000 is the fourth such event and promises, like its antecedents, to deliver more than 2,000 high-quality visitors from all over Australia, South-East Asia, New Zealand and, indeed, the rest of the world.
