The Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of the Universities of Glasgow & Strathclyde is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the international conference GreenTech in 2009.

The conference titled GreenTech is on the topic of ‘Marine Science & Technology for Green Shipping’ which is being organised together with EAMARNET and in association with PROMARC.

The theme of the conference was set with the recognition that a greater understanding of the way maritime activities affect the marine environment is needed which will in turn support the development of technologies in marine design, construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning, as well as marine renewables.

The GreenTech conference aims to gather operators, designers, constructors, marine scientists, regulatory authorities, and researchers to discuss technological advancement and implementations that will lead to the reduction of negative impacts marine activities have on the environment.
