Harken, Inc., the international manufacturer and marketer of yacht equipment announced plans to host it’s Harken University seminar series again on October 25th and 26th, 1999 and in February 5th and 6th, 2000. Harken University is an informational series designed for teaching Harken distributors, retailers and riggers about the entire Harken product line – from manufacturing, to installation and usage.

The two-day seminar features discussions with both Peter and Olaf Harken, founders of Harken Inc., a tour of the Harken USA headquarters; and seminars on Harken’s new products, block basics, furling systems, travelers, winches, battcars, rudder bearings, Harken custom products and much more. "All Harken distributors, retailers and riggers are encouraged to attend these informative seminars," explains Peter Harken, president. "There is nothing more important in the sailboat hardware industry than knowledge. Harken’s position as an industry leader depends on the depth of knowledge people have with our products," explains Harken.

To attend a Harken University seminar in either October or February, marine professionals must provide their own transportation – once at Harken, all hotel and food expenses will be provided by Harken.
