Hull Life Cycle Management Software

DNV offers new decision-making support software by integrating multiple corporate systems into a single desktop solution. The intention is to provide a complete solution for optimising fleet maintenance costs, whilst improving technical standards as required by the rules of international classification societies. The Hull Life Cycle Manager software is an innovative solution for the consistent management of inspections and capture of detailed hull-condition data for entire fleets. The solution offers a significant potential by addressing market requirements as to inspection management software while being independent of the owner’s choice of class.

As global competition and the complexity of requirements imposed on ship operators continue to increase, the maritime industry needs innovative solutions to increase overall productivity and profitability by reducing operational costs. It is imperative to increase vessel quality and reliability, comply with safety, security and environmental requirements and constantly monitor the resale value of all assets. The Hull Life Cycle Manager facilitates an environment where these issues can be addressed by making relevant information easily available through a simplified user interface.

Integration with other systems is made possible through new Microsoft technology enabling the re-use of data, and enhances information transparency and eliminates costly and error-prone manual work processes. DNV Software also offers an industry standard document management system, global workflow support and a data warehouse integrated into customers’ solutions. For vessels classed to DNV, there is a plug-in feature for class-supplied information and tools, ensuring seamless integration with the Hull Life Cycle Manager.
