Exciting shipping innovations to be revealed during the day-long seminar entitled IMPACT 2003: Innovative Military Partnerships Advancing Commercial Transport and will be presented by the Center for the Commercial Deployment of Transportation Technologies (CCDoTT). Invitations can be obtained by contacting the CCDoTT office at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).The event will highlight three areas: - High-Speed Sealift, with technologies allowing cargo ships speeds of 60 knots and beyond;
- Port and Cargo Inspection, using new and innovative technologies;
- Agile Ports and Terminals, including a just-completed massive demonstration of multiple loading/unloading innovations at the Port of Tacoma.
