KaMOS Patented Ring Joint

By using an unique patented technique KaMOS has developed a sealing arrangement for pipe systems which incorporates surveillance of flange connections for all sizes. Leakage’s or " blow-outs" with serious consequences can now be prevented.

An attached instrument permits to verify correct positioning of the installed special sealing ring during the first pressure testing. After the pressure testing an indicator will monitor possible variations in the tightness of sealing ring which in turn will indicate a risk of leakage. The above method offers many advantages. Safety is improved, substantial time/cost savings are achieved during installation, fault finding and maintenance time is reduced. This new sealing arrangement for testing of flange connections has been satisfactorily demonstrated to a wide range of companies and institutions such as the Norwegian directorate, Sintef, Statoil, Elf, NPC, Hydro and others.
