"Kronprins Harald" Damaged

"Kronprins Harald" touched bottom on its way out the Oslo Fjord.

The ferry immediately docked at nearby Moss harbour for under water inspection by divers, who found a small leak in the hull and some damage to one of the propellers. All the 1272 passengers remained on board overnight, as there was no danger to the ship. However, after the inspection, it was decided to land the passengers, and the ship is now on its way to Emden where it will be docked for further inspection and repairs. The mishap with "Kronprins Harald" came just a week after its sister ship "Prinsesse Ragnhild" caught fire and had to be evacuated.
