Kvaerner secures $389m North Sea contract

Kvaerner, the Anglo-Norwegian engineering and construction Group, has secured a contract to build the production module for the Grane field platform, in the Norwegian sector of the Sea. The contract, which has been awarded by Norsk Hydro acting on behalf of the Grane licensees, is worth US$389 million and includes engineering, procurement, and construction of the approximate 11,000 tonne production module, in addition to the provision of engineering and procurement for the generator module.
