Life Boats from Marland

Marland Technical Services Ltd was established in 1988 as a wholesaler of engine spare parts. Since then, its areas of expertise have broadened to include ship repair and manufacturing of lifeboats. With over 20 year's experience in boat making plus the support and know-how gained form the Japanese partner Shigi, products are fully in compliance with international new-building standards and quality.

Wuxi Hai Hong Boat Making Ltd has now been accepted by most classification societies with factory and type approval certificates. All products are fully compliant with the latest/updated regulations. In 1994 Marland Technical Services introduced the Shigi Shipbuilding Company of Japan to the joint-venture and began technical co-operation with Shigi. In addition to learning from Shigi's experience, this co-operation also includes the introduction of advanced technology in manufacturing of OEM lifeboats under Shigi's supervision.

Last year, Plus Engineering Co., was appointed as Marland’s exclusive agent in Korea for marketing and promoting lifeboats to the Korean newbuildings. As China continues to develop, Marland Technical Services is in a strong position not only to utilize the resources available domestically but also to introduce foreign shipyards and marine products to the shipowners and ship managers of Hong Kong and China.
