MAREC 2000 – Call for Papers

Papers are invited for an International Conference on Marine Renewable Energy Conference 2000. This event will be organised and hosted by The Institute of Marine Engineers and the Department of Marine Technology at Newcastle University, 5th - 6th December 2000 in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK).

The aim of this international conference is to evaluate the experiences to date, and discuss current technologies of marine based renewable energy schemes.
The technical scope will include power generation from offshore wind, waves, current and tidal schemes. The conference is also to look ahead to future technologies, in the medium to long term time frame, thus ascertaining some of the technical issues for future development of these renewable energy sources. It will also seek to evaluate the potential for exploitation of any other prospective renewable marine sources of energy.
