SkimOil (St. Louis, Montana, USA) has introduced the TheTankMSD, a new style of USCG approved Type II Marine Sanitation Device (MSD). TheTankMSD is the only rotary-molded polyethylene MSD manufactured today that enables the formation of the three isolated treatment chambers within one housing, according to the company. The molded construction of separate chambers for aeration, clarification and disinfection, eliminate any leakage or unintentional bypass between the chambers.
The circular flow pattern within TheTankMSD keeps the waste constantly cycling and reprocessing between the aeration and clarification stages, resulting in reduced sludge buildup and better effluent quality. With internal cross venting, the device is resistant to the common problem of being air locked due to the vent pipe getting plugged or back pressure from high winds. This compact and corrosion proof plant allows for easy retrofitting to replace existing units and is suitable for new building projects. The TankMSD comes complete with aerator and is available with a pump-out system for installations below waterline.
