Maritime Human Factors Conference 2000


The conference is scheduled for March 13th & 14th at the Maritime Institute of Technology & Graduate Studies MITAGS, Linthicum Heights, Maryland (USA). Conference Objectives are: Review and discuss current human factors issues in maritime and offshore industries; Presentation of recent success stories including approach taken, solutions, and benefits or impacts realized; Providing tools and information that will facilitate developing action plans, OHSA programs, and elements of SOLAS Chapter 9; the ISM Code.

Papers will be presented by Human Factor Professionals from the Maritime Administration, US Coast Guard, US Navy, The NTSB, American Bureau of Shipping, NASA, Rensselaer Polytechnic University, University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State University, Tabak & Mellusi, and others.
