US Coast Guard unveils Maritime Safety One-Stop Shopping Web Site. Everything you've ever wanted to research, buy, or discuss is available on the Information Highway. Having difficulty locating the perfect gift can be an annoyance, but having problems finding safety information before leaving port can be dangerous.

In response to this need for easier access to maritime-safety information, the U.S. Coast Guard has arranged one-stop information shopping site at The Port Operations Information for Safety and Efficiency (POISE) site is a central location for links to Government Agencies, Port Authorities, Marine Exchanges, and Coast Guard sites. It is organized geographically, with links to information on 45 major U.S. Ports, in all 50 states and territories. Everything from local weather and tides, to pertinent regulations and Coast Guard units can be found through POISE. The professional pilot and the recreational sailor alike can access this user-friendly site for valuable safety information.
