Trident Shipworks Incorporated announced plans to expand its Florida West Coast state-of-the-art facility for designing and building luxury yachts. The addition of a new Mega Yacht Refit Facility increases Trident's service capabilities and will be the only one of its kind on Florida's West Coast.

Trident Shipworks Incorporated is a premier designer and builder of handcrafted high-tech composite state-of-the-art mega yachts. Their facility currently is 260,000 sq. ft. directly on Tampa Bay and accommodates as many as six 150-foot or larger yachts undercover. There are two fully covered 10,000-sq.-ft. bays that are adjacent to a 450-foot seawall on Tampa Bay. Their 500-ton syncrolift system provides multi-hauling capabilities for direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The addition of a refit facility is a $2 million investment for Trident Shipworks.

The marine elevator and piers will be available by March 2000 and increases Trident's existing services for painting and renovation of private yachts commercial vessels. The new facility also provides the opportunity to add 100 new employees enhancing the existing Trident team of 250.
