The National Center for Excellence in Metalworking Technology (NCEMT, USA) is sponsoring a technology demonstration and information exchange on modern shipbuilding technologies. The two-day meeting will enable members of the shipbuilding industry to exchange ideas on shipbuilding processes and technologies. The NCEMT will discuss completed and ongoing projects, as well as present innovative technologies, materials, and tools to the shipbuilding communities.

The meeting will also enable the NCEMT to identify future Navy shipbuilding needs and opportunities for applying CTC-developed technologies to shipbuilding. The event will take place September 21-22, 1999, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia (USA).
