Modular Straight Line Wipers

The latest generation of Wynn’s window wipers is the Type D Mk III which is of modular construction and comes with a new streamlined external motor housing devised for easy installation. According to the company, the wiper can clear over 80% of the window area, allowing maximum visibility from the bridge, even in the most extreme weather conditions. Its high powered AC induction motor provides an efficient, reliable drive that is quiet and maintenance free, offering long term reliability.

The Mk III is especially easy to install, where an external motor is fitted. It is only necessary to penetrate the bulkhead once, to bring the connecting cables through during installation. This frees valuable space above the bridge windows for other instrumentation. An alternative to the Type D MKIII is Wynn’s Type C wiper, which comes with an internal motor, offering heavy duty linear wiping action for a variety of vessel types and sizes. These wipers are suitable for all vessel types and can function in all types of weather from tropical to arctic conditions.
