Nauticus with Intergraph 2D RAD Technology

Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Software has released Nauticus Hull 2000.09, the next-generation software suite for shipbuilding and classification, developed on the Intergraph Corp. 2D Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform. Functionality provided through 2D RAD significantly reduces modelling time, increases accuracy and enables interoperability with CAD files from other vendors.

“We are happy to announce our first achievements of the co-operation with Intergraph. DNV plans to release additional RAD-based Nauticus shipbuilding and classification programs in the future,” says Elling Rishoff, head of DNV Software. “We are now able to develop software solutions more rapidly and provide our customers with new applications within a shorter timeframe. Speed, innovation and strategic alliances are crucial for success in this increasingly competitive market.”

DNV also uses the 3D RAD platform for building 3D product models in Nauticus applications including data repositories, finite element and wave load analyses.
