Navmaster ECDIS for Vessels and Offices

The Navmaster ECDIS from pc maritime (UK) is proving itself increasingly valuable not only onboard but also in an office-based environment. shipowners, insurers, legal firms, consultants and accident investigators are using the navmaster "Office" system for instant access to electronic charts and a set of tools helping to analyse and reconstruct incidents at sea, for risk assessment work and for emergency response management.

Navmaster ECDIS for Vessels and Offices

Navmaster Office can also be installed on laptops for surveyors and inspectors helping users to store notes, scanned material and images for incorporation into reports. Data stored in navmaster can be exported into various Microsoft applications for further analysis. The Navmaster ECDIS is being offered as a navigation system for newbuilds and is also considered particularly suitable for retrofitting into existing bridge layouts due to its modular components which offer substantial installation and maintenance flexibility.

According to the company, Navmaster's distinguishing features are - Uniquely detailed berth-to-berth route planning incorporating the navigator's instructions and notes; Enhanced passage plan documentation that can be used to conform to ISM and company quality standards; Voyage dated record and replay module for vessels not yet required to carry type approved VDR to provide evidence in the event of incident; and automatic transfer of monitored route to a back-up system.
