New Electric Motor Cleaner

The Drew Marine Division of Ashland Specialty Chemical Company has introduced DREW ELECTRIC FAST DRY motor and parts cleaner for optimal performance in degreasing essential electrical equipment and parts. This unique, new cleaner dissolves and cleans grease, tar, wax, oil and other soils upon contact—and dries within minutes, leaving virtually no residue. Also available is DREW ELECTRIC 2000 motor and parts cleaner, best suited for applications where drying speed is not critical and maximum economy is a priority.

Ship operators looking for an effective replacement for 1,1,1-trichloroethane products will find very similar properties in DREW ELECTRIC FAST DRY cleaner—without the substantial ozone-depleting potential that has prompted many countries to restrict 1,1,1-trichloroethane production. In addition to the benefits of superior cleaning and fast evaporation, Drew Marine’s new motor and parts cleaner has high dielectric strength. Its very low-volume residue is non-volatile and requires no rinsing. The cleaner is safe for application on most metals and insulation materials used in marine motors, generators, switchgears, and electrical parts and assemblies.
