New Orders For Yantai Shipyard


Yantai Raffles Shipyard (Yantai, China) and Halter Marine Inc (USA), formed a joint venture in May 1998. Their objective is to market offshore drilling rigs, platform supply vessels, anchor handling tug/supply vessels, utility vessels, tug boats, production units, multi-services and pipe laying/derrick barges for delivery worldwide. Halter Marine will provide on site engineering, technical and program management support to Yantai.
Yantai Raffles orderbook has just expanded, it lists 88m Pleasure Yacht (ABS), 160m semi-submersible deck cargo barge (ABS), 5,000 DWT Launch Barge, 64m 8,900bhp AHTS (BV), 160Mt CALM Buoy (Caternary Anchor Leg Mooring), 6,500 DWT Cement Bulker and 244ft ROV Vessel. Letters of Intent have been received for four 2,200 TEU container vessels, two 6,500 DWT Limestone Carriers and two 6,500 DWT Cement Carriers.
Recently completed projects include 92m vessel conversion and two 4000bhp Anchor Handling Tugs (BV).
The shipyard is currently working towards achieving ISO 9002 and GJB/Z9002 National Navy Standards.
