New Sonar/GPS Combination Unit

      3/26/1999

Techsonic Industries, Inc., has recently announced the introduction of a new sonar/GPS unit, the Cetrek 3400. The unit is an easy to operate, simple to understand, full navigational chart plotter and fish finder combination sounder. The GPS system incorporates SatMax(TM) antenna system, a GPS antenna system with a fully integrated 12 channel receiver providing superior satellite tracking ability. Cetrek 3400 supports differential GPS input for improved accuracy when required.
The new Cetrek 3400 incorporates a number of unique features like a compact, in-dash flush mounting design, with an optional gimbal mount included. A sonar transmit/receive on-off can be used to eliminate interference with other sonar units on board. In addition, the 3400 supports C-Map NT ``Ports and Tides'' providing ultra detailed port services information and tide calculations. The fast and smooth presentation of simultaneous sonar and navigational information is made possible by utilizing a 32 bit Motorola Power PC microprocessor.
