New Spring Starter

Spring Starters have been in use for over 28 years with over 30,000 starters in service worldwide. Spring starters are 100% mechanical, they do not require electricity, compressed air or hydraulic pressure. They use energy stored in a high-tech, spring pack that is manually recharged, and are equivalent to a 5 hp electric starter. The PENTHAM Spring Starter was developed based on years of experience with the original Lucas/ CAV Spring Starter.

The PENTHAM Spring Starter provides greater cranking speed than an electric starter and weighs and costs less than an electric starting system. To operate this Spring Starter, simply pull the cord smoothly and steadily approximately 10-15 times. As soon as sufficient energy has been stored in the Powerspring, the starter is automatically tripped and the engine is started, with no extra effort.PENTHAM Spring Starters are available for certain models of Deutz, Farymann, Hatz, Lister-Petter, Lombardini, Perkins and VM engines with many others in development.
