“Work Boat World Europe 2002”, the new exhibition and conference event to be held in Venice in April 2002, is achieving strong and steady growth in popularity. The Organizers, Bird Publications, said that more than a third of the available booths have been sold and what is most encouraging is that there is a good spread of different types of exhibitors from around the globe. The conference will host a number of authoritative and informative speakers, carefully sourced from the international maritime industry.
“Work Boat World Europe follows on the very successful regional shows Baird Publicationshas held in Singapore and Fremantle”, says Enrica Capretti, Exhibition Director. “We expectthis new event to be even more successful given the well established fair and exhibitionculture that prevails in Europe, and the fact that there is no similarly focused show in thecentral European / Mediterranean market region.”
This new exhibition and conference is aimed at the owners and operators of ferries, fishing boats, tugs, offshore service vessels, tourist vessels, water taxis, patrol, pilot and rescue craft, smaller cruise and cargo vessels, pollution control vessels, fire boats and all kinds of work boats. In addition, naval and coast guard vessels up to corvette size are also covered.
A range of leading international experts will cover topics from shipbuilding through design, sea transport and classification. The sessions themselves will prove to be thought provoking and confronting when addressing some of the major issues faced by today’s commercial and military marine industries.
