Oceanology International Americas 2001

      3/16/2001

Miami, Florida, USA -- Building on glowing successes already achieved with several earlier Oceanology International conferences in England and Singapore, the upcoming Oceanology International Americas 2001 is showing signs of becoming the preeminent conference and exhibition for North and South American ocean/marine communities. Scheduled for April 3-5, 2001, in Miami's Convention Center, OIA 2001 has already attracted far more exhibitors than originally expected in its first foray to North American territory. More than 350 exhibit stands will display the wares of the world's leading ocean manufacturers of the latest technologies for exploring and measuring the oceans. As a comparison, Oceanology International 2000 last March in Brighton, U.K., drew in a record 6,000-plus attendees and more than 500 exhibiting companies. It was those international exhibiting companies, many from the United States, who "invited" the Brighton conference organizers to consider moving to the Americas.
