Pharos Marine Awarded Contract to Supply Radar
The Phalcon-2000 is a forth generation radar beacon responding to both X and S bands transmitting a clear unambiguous trace onto a ships radar screen. This trace enables the mariner to obtain range and bearing information under all weather conditions 24 hours a day.
Trinity House carried out extensive laboratory and field trails as well as environmental and vibration tests to satisfy themselves that the Phalcon-2000 meets their requirement. Additionally the new Racon power consumption is lower than competing products and this is a major factor for Racons installed on solar powered buoys.
In addition to the Trinity House order Pharos Marine have orders in hand from the Middle East, United States, Australia, Sweden, Finland, Holland and several other European countries. |  |
