Propeller CAD Software

HydroComp, Inc. of Durham (NH, USA) has announced that it has acquired sole ownership of the PropCad propeller CAD software formerly developed under a joint venture. PropCad is a software package for the automatic preparation of 2D design drawings, 3D views and construction data for marine propellers. Over two dozen of the world's leading small and large propeller manufacturers use PropCad for their propeller CAD requirements. According to Donald M. MacPherson, HydroComp's Technical Director, "We are delighted to be able to take full responsibility for PropCad as part of our propulsion design and analysis products. Obtaining full control over the strategic and day-to-day development of PropCad will allow us to provide increased value to our users. We are focusing on enabling true integration with our other core products-PropExpert and NavCad-and to provide additional data exchange options with commercial CAM milling and other graphic software."
