Propelling the Industry into Efficiency

11-12 September 2007
Venue: Kempinski Hotel, Hamburg, Germany

The Motor Ship Propulsion Conference 2007 titled ‘Propelling the industry into efficiency’ will be the 29th event in this annual series and will once again reflect the trends and developments in all aspects of the propulsion of ships. Taking place at the Kempinski Hotel in Hamburg on the 11-12 September 2007 the programme will be wide ranging and include presentations on:

  • Current systems and equipment - covering the complete propulsion drive line from engine, gearboxes to propeller/propulsions
  • Machinery controls
  • Exhaust emissions
  • Fuel and lube oil quality and supply
  • Future developments in propulsion systems and fuels

Operator experiences will also be featured so as to match theory and manufacturer developments with the practical, end-user side of shipboard operations and this give a rounded view of propulsion technology and evolution. To give delegates food for thought, there will be presentations focusing on some advanced and unusual propulsion concepts.

Finally, the conference will feature an Owners - Suppliers debate; an opportunity for owners to confront a panel of suppliers to discuss, in an open debate, key issues and concerns affecting technical aspects of the shipping world.
