RINA Magazines on CD ROM

The Royal Institution of Naval Architects journals are a source of valuable reference and provide a wealth of information. The second editions of The Naval Architect and Ship & Boat International on CD ROM will be available from Feb 2001 containing all issues published in 2000, with a title and key word search facility making it easy to find a specific article or issue quickly.

In addition, RINA will also publish the eleventh edition of its annual Significant Ships series. Produced in its usual technically orientated style, Significant Ships of 2000 will present approximately 50 of the most innovative and important commercial designs delivered during the year by shipyards worldwide. Emphasis is placed on new-buildings over 100m in length, including some significant smaller cargo ships, fast ferries and offshore vessels. It includes a cross-section of ship types, with each vessel being either representative of its type or singularly significant.

Each ship presentation comprises a concise technical description, extensive tabular principal particulars including major equipment suppliers, detailed general arrangement plans and a colour ship photograph. Significant Small Ships of 2000 will also be available.
