Register of Ships on the Internet

DNV's register of ships is now available on DNV's homepage. DNV will thereby be one of the first classification societies to have a simple system available on the Internet. The Register of ships classed by DNV contains information regarding all DNV-classed ships worldwide. The information is thereby easily available to everyone.

The information on DNV's ship register will interest not only DNV customers, but also port authorities and shipbrokers. DNV's register contains information regarding ships' technical data and tonnage, owners and managers, class notations, and when the class certificates were issued. A user-friendly system has been chosen to publish the information. The system has already been tested on DNV's Intranet for a couple of years. The system includes search functions so that vessels easily can be found through their name, former names, part of name, IMO registration number, name of owner or manager.

Other vessels owned or managed by these companies can also be found. The information is updated five days a week. Users of the register are invited to offer their feedback.
