Robotics Company Acquired

Perry Tritech, Inc., announced that its parent company, the Coflexip Stena Offshore Group has acquired the UK based robotics company, Slingsby Engineering Ltd.

Slingsby Engineering Ltd (SEL) will operate with Perry Tritech Inc., and the combined business will trade under the name Perry Slingsby Systems, and will be managed by Allen Leatt, President & Chief Executive Officer of Perry Tritech Inc.

SEL, based in Kirkbymoorside, England, has a long history as a specialist robotics company with a strong record in engineering and product development. Revenues in 1999 were approximately USD11 million generated from a workforce of approximately 110. The current product range represents specialist workclass ROVs such as the Olympian, MRVš and Spartan and a highly developed suite of componentry, from advanced manipulators to specialist tooling systems.

Perry Tritech, a member of the Coflexip Stena Offshore Group, is recognized as the world leader in the design and manufacture of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and related equipement. For over 30 years, the company has developed subsea intervention technologies for the oil and gas, telecom and other specialist markets. Today, the company markets a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art ROVs, robotic tooling products and engineering capabilities.
