Rules for Naval Surface Craft

DNV has issued rules for the design, construction and operation of Naval Surface Craft to the naval community. The Rules cover Marine Technical Safety aspects as well as Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues. The use of DNV’s supervisory activity with basis in these rules will assist the navy in demonstrating compliance with relevant aspects of international maritime conventions such as SOLAS.

10 shipyards and 11 naval administrations representing 12 countries have joined up with DNV to establish and develop these Rules, supported by NATO’s assistant Secretary General for Defence Support.
