SIM-QUEST 2000

Simulation and scientific computation techniques have been increasingly developed in the last few years in the area of the design, production and operation of ships, as well as in the assessment of the marine environment.

SIM-OUEST 2000 will be held in Nantes, in the heartland of the French shipbuilding industry. It will offer a series of conferences and demonstrations focusing on the latest industrial achievements and research results in the Marine Technology field. After the success of the three former national editions, which gathered industrialists, researchers and professors in 1994, 1996 and 1998, the organisers have chosen to turn it into a European event.

SIM-OUEST 2000 is looking for papers which focus on simulation and scientific computation for design, production and operation, notably in the Marine Technology field. These papers should describe industrial achievements, significant research results, or analyses of tools, both software and hardware. If possible they will highlight a collaboration between Industry and a University or between large-scale Industry and SME. Abstracts should be provided by 5th June, 2000 and full texts are expected not later than 18th September 2000.
